Take Cheer Grams, a 50/50 raffle worth nearly $500.00, T-shirts, Sweatshirts, Necklaces, Bracelets, a full concession stand…THEN ADD 40 competing squads and you have the recipe for a "Cheerleader's Paradise".  

On Sunday, March 2nd from 9:30pm – 4:30pm, Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School Vikings and DeBruin Entertainment hosted their annual "Oxford Hills Invitational".

Wow!!!  What an exciting weekend of competition!!!

In Saturday's stow storm the USCAA Division 2 Men's Basketball Championships were held at Southern Maine Community College.  One would assume that all sporting events would be postponed due to the storm but these teams had traveled from around the country so the National Tournament WOULD GO ON!  South Portland, ME saw the storm turn to rain after about 6 inches of wet, heavy snow.  

The championship game on Saturday saw the "Mechanics" of Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trades in Pennsylvania  against the "Falcons" from Taylor Fort Wayne, Indiana.   The Mechanics privaled with a 15 point victory and were crowned champions of the 2008 USCAA Men's Division II National Tournament.

South Maine Community College won their quarterfinal game on Thursday against Penn State – Dubois, Pennsylvania but lost in the semi-finals Friday night against Taylor Fort Wayne.   The "Seawolves finished in 4th place for the tournament.
